Happy Memorial Day from FreightCenter.com

This Memorial Day, we remember the lives lost and the service men and women who risked their lives to serve; especially, the first responders at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. To commemorate last year's anniversary,  FreightCenter.com, in partnership with Roadrunner Transportation and the Public Safety Committee of Seattle, Wash., helped ship a 1500-lb steel I-beam that was salvaged from one of the World Trade Center Twin Towers. Read more about that 9/11 memorial.

Now, almost a year after the 10th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks, we're celebrating the next milestone in American history: the unveiling of the new World Trade Center tower in Manhattan. The "Freedom Tower" or 1 WTC, located at 1 World Trade Center, is the main focal point at the newly rebuilt WTC complex.

The 104-story skyscraper is a welcomed addition to the changed Manhattan skyline. Just shy of towering over Chicago's Sears Tower, 1 WTC is currently the tallest building in New York City.

FreightCenter.com is owned and operated by veterans of our U.S. military. CEO Matthew J. Brosious earned his Rangers tab in his early 20s and has since become a savvy business owner and entrepreneur. CFO and Matthew's father, James Brosious, also got his start in the military and he recalls dedicating many years of his Army life to the war and occupation in Vietnam. Both father and son understand the importance of our men and women soldiers.
